Arriving by ferry to Punta de Piedras? How to rent a car without extra walks

Yes: renting a car when you arrive by ferry is just as simple as arriving by air. We deliver the car at the Punta de Piedras terminal, in the terminal parking lot, and set the exact meeting point over WhatsApp on the morning of arrival. No walking and no taxi needed.

Before leaving your city

1. Book on WhatsApp with your dates and arrival port.
2. Send the ferry schedule you bought: if disembarking is delayed, we adjust at no cost.
3. Tell us if someone in the family waits at the port while you check the car: we recommend everyone wait inside the terminal, since delivery is close to the ramp.

After disembarking: step by step

1. Walk out of the terminal to the main exit. The car is parked in the rental area, with an identified team member.
2. Photo check of the exterior, the dash and the fuel level.
3. Sign the contract and pay. No credit card: cash in USD or transfer.
4. Drive the coastal road to Porlamar or straight to the nearby beach (Punta de Piedras is about 25 minutes from town).

Return: when to drop the car off before the ferry

• If your ferry leaves early, arrange the return on the morning of the same day.
• If you leave on a Monday or weekend, drop the car the previous afternoon at the hotel or the terminal to avoid the early-morning rush.
• The car must keep the same fuel level you received it with: there are stations on the road from the terminal toward Porlamar or El Yaque.
